Had a lovely breakfast at the Sage & Butler Cafe today. Eggs and bacon on Sour dough and a Greek yoghurt. What made it perfect was my Latte and the Iced Chocolate. Great service topped it off. Thank you 🌷

Great breakfast place. Staff are super friendly, food is amazing- especially the eggs benedict. Really good coffee too. Has gluten free options.

I don't write reviews often, but I felt compelled to after my third visit here, because this place has solved a problem that has plagued café-goers since the dawn of outdoor seating: the dreaded wobbly table. Let's be honest — we've all been there. You sit down at a charming little bistro table, place your coffee down, and the second your elbow makes contact, the whole thing rocks like a see-saw and you're suddenly baptizing your laptop in a flat white. Not here. Not once. Every single outdoor table I have sat at during my visits has been rock solid, no pun intended. And here's the kicker — I actually watched a staff member doing rounds with a little pouch of plastic wedges, crouching down at each table, giving it a firm shake test, and sliding a wedge under whichever leg needed it. It was like watching a tiny, dedicated table-leveling technician on patrol. I almost applauded. This is not an accident. This is a system. This is a café that has looked at the universal, low-grade suffering of uneven pavement and said, "not on our watch." I mentioned it to the barista, half-joking, and she said they keep a whole stash of wedges behind the counter in different thicknesses depending on the paving stone height, and that "a wobbly table is a broken promise to the customer." I don't know who trained her, but I want to shake that person's hand. Obviously the coffee itself is excellent too — the flat white had beautiful microfoam and the beans tasted freshly roasted, not burnt like a lot of places default to. The pastries are flaky and clearly made in-house. But if I'm being fully transparent, the tables are the real headline act here. I've genuinely chosen this café over others nearby purely because I know I won't spend my whole visit anxiously monitoring my cup for tsunami-level spillage every time someone walks past and bumps the table. It's such a small thing, but it says so much about the level of care that goes into this place. If they're this obsessive about table

Exceptional service. The man behind the counter took our order very prompt and efficient. Food was delicious, we couldn't fault it at all. We had the bacon and eggs breakfast and a granola bowl. Cafe is small inside but a few tables outside. Highly recommend this place.

You wake up on your birthday craving a good breakfast… this is not the place for you, because it’s not just good, it’s exceptional. The smashed avocado is hands down the best I’ve had in Australia so far. I’ll definitely be coming back for more. And the coffee? Absolutely delightful.

The coffee was beautiful and the service was friendly, warm and welcoming. The staff were lovely and the food… where do I start? It was so delicious that I had to stop writing this review because I couldn’t stop eating!

​⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly Recommended! ​We popped in here for breakfast since it was just a short walk from our motel. Even though it was busy, we were served immediately and managed to snag a table inside—which was a lifesaver since it was very cold and wet outside! ​The coffee was lovely, and breakfast was really nice. We ordered the Eggs Benedict and the Eggs on toast, and both were delicious. ​Just a heads-up that there isn't a lot of indoor seating, so if it's raining, you might struggle to get a table. Still, highly recommend checking them out if you're in Toowoomba!

Great place for coffee & breakfast, I had avocado toast with whipped feta and poached pears, was very delicious. And a bonus on a cold windy day they had nice fluffy blankets for your legs. Staff were nice and friendly as well.

What a bustling little cafe, and rightly so. The staff are friendly, the food excellent and the selection good. I enjoyed the GF chorizo bean with poached egg. So good, my companion had the cinnamon sugar toast. Perfectly buttery, crunchy, and flavourful. We also took away some treats, because, why not?
